Gopal Yonzon

Gopal Yonzon began his musical life as a flautist, a flute player. In 1963, he wrote his first song lyrics. He then spent his career researching and composing across the full range of Nepali music. This included patriotic and spiritual songs, romantic ballads, and children’s music.

He formed a close creative bond with fellow singer Narayan Gopal. People remember his compositions for bringing together Nepali folk and classical traditions with a more modern style.
