Prakash Man Singh Raut was appointed the 32nd Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Nepal, in October 2024. President Ram Chandra Poudel swore him in, on the recommendation of the Constitutional Council.
He served until March 2026, when his term ended. Justice Sapana Pradhan Malla then stepped in as acting Chief Justice, ahead of the appointment of his eventual successor, Manoj Kumar Sharma.
