Rock singer and frontman of Robin and The New Revolution, a defining figure of Nepal's rock scene
About
Robin Tamang was born in Singapore, to a Nepali family serving in the British Army. He grew up between Hong Kong, Singapore, and Brunei. There, he discovered rock music through Jimi Hendrix and Deep Purple.
He returned to Nepal in 1996. He helped shape the country’s then-nascent, just-beginning, rock scene. He first played in Robin n Looza. From 2006, he fronted Robin and The New Revolution. This band’s hits made him one of the most recognisable rock stars in Nepal.
