About
Yama Buddha grew up between Morang and Kathmandu. He began his rap career in the mid-2000s. He later relocated to London.
He became one of the defining voices of Nepalese hip-hop. His music blended political and personal themes, across hits like “Saathi,” “Aama,” and “Yo Prasanga.” He created the rap battle show Raw Barz. This show helped popularise the genre in Nepal.
